When you look for advice

When I want to know something, I just google a question. So when I wanted more people to follow my blog, I came across a "21 surefire tips for a successful blog launch." Don't you hate it when you realize you've been doing something wrong?

Well, that's what happened to me just now. I unwittingly . . .

• launched a blog with fewer than 5 posts
• do not know what an RSS feed is? Should I know this?
• Do not have a facebook page where I can advertise my blog
• and though this was not on the list: Stop blogging about blogging!

A new study shows that researching the requirements of industry in different forms of government can prove to be very confusing

I have a headache. Working on some homework (yes, I go to school.) If anybody knows if military group by overthrow has a class system, feel free to tell me!

All the stuff I plan to do but never get around to (very random. I never get around to planning creative blog posts)

1. Grow a vegetable garden (I'll bet there's a blog for that  . . )
2. Write a book (And get past the first page. Must have 10 stories that are a couple of paragraphs long)
3. Bake some oatmeal raisin cookies (the only kind that I am confident I can make)
4. Go for a run (I like running, but it's December, and I'm starting to get lazy and out of shape)
5. Paint something
6. Come up with something brilliant to paint.
7. Devote hours figuring out how to use Photoshop
8. Make something cool with Photoshop
9. Start using less (    ), . . . , and - .
10. Do pushups, sit ups, and leg stretches daily
11. Stop spending so mutch time on the computer

I'm bored. I've noticed that there's this little thing at the top of the page that says "Next blog," and if you click on it some random blog pops up. It dawned on me that that's how I managed to get 36 views. I'd better make the quality of this blog a little bit better: maybe a catchy title (besides " .... hm......"), maybe a clear, obvious theme for the blog, maybe a more creative background, maybe posts that don't consist of my musings or my favorite things.

Otherwise I'll be stuck at one follower forever!!!

Right Now

What am I doing right now?

I am sitting in a darkened living room.

There is snow outside, not melting.

A christmas tree is in the corner of the room, strung with lights.

Chinese food for supper.

I am still practically grinning over the great idea I have for my brother's Christmas present.

I was just looking at minimalist houses on Google images. One of m hoobies is creating Sims 3 houses of different architectural styles.

My feet are cold. I thought these Smartwool socks were supposed to be smart.

I should be reading a book. Right now, I'm reading Wicked. (a very fascinating book and imaginative book. You should read it if you haven't already.) I don't read as much as I used to. (Couple years ago, I would read all the time: while I was getting dressed, on the bus, eating breakfast, while walking).

11 people have viewed my blog. Is that bad?

I don't read much poetry. (Actually, I don't read any poetry - except by force)

 But when I saw this poem in a text book, I thought it was beautiful  . . . poetic, I guess :)
